Goal Setting

College acceptances and the future… Seeing all my friends get accepted into all these really great colleges makes me really proud and happy for them. Every time someone tells me they got accepted somewhere or I see a Facebook status about it, I can already visualize in my head their success and the pride they’ll feel on the day of their graduation, thinking “This is it… I’ve finally made it.” But I can’t help but think and worry about my own future. Things can change, life can change… I can change. I’ve still yet to decide where I want to go for college, and it’s hard to decide right away, because this is going to be something that will alter the course of the rest of my life for years to come. I have to take it seriously and weigh my options thoroughly. I plan to major in Game Art & Design, possibly double-majoring in Business Administration. Somewhere down the road, I want to work my way up to becoming an Art Director or Creative Executive, and maybe someday I’ll even get to work on projects featuring games that I created. Whatever college I choose to attend, I just hope that I can make the most I can out of the experience and live the life I’ve always visualized… and if not all the way there, at least somewhere close where I can be happy.

There’s nothing wrong with being an idealist and setting certain goals for yourself so long as you can find the realistic means to get there.
